Film Photography Basics

$50.00

Date: June 28th and July 26

Time: 10:00 - 1:00

Fee: $50

Did you inherit grandma's old 35 mm? Have that old Cannon tucked away in the closet that you used in your high school photography class? Perhaps it's time to learn what all of those dials, levers and numbers mean on that old camera! Don't have a film camera? Cameras are available for class use on a first come first serve basis. Digital cameras cannot be used for this class. Nope, no digital here; this is strictly a film camera class! Instructor Tess will explain the basics of your camera as well as give an overview of the photographic process. These basics include composition, the mechanics of your camera and a rudimentary understanding of film development. Join her around the neighborhood for a photo shoot to put these lessons to use. The class will conclude with film development. Yes, you will develop your own film!* Students will shoot an entire roll of film and develop the roll with Tess' help. Class is limited to 5 so register soon!

*Due to the nature of film photography, students may not have a successful roll of film. However, the journey is always more exciting than the destination!
