Private Group Class

Have an old camera, but not sure how it works? Bring it in for Tess to walk you through the function of your camera. Please let her know what model and make you have at contact@tesstubbs.studio at least one week before the class, so she can be ready to answer your questions!

Have you discovered a used roll of film that was tucked away some time ago? Bring it in and Tess will develop it for you. Or if you want to learn the process she will teach you step by step how to develop your particular roll of film. Students can pick up their finished film the next day in a sleeve ready for a binder.

Students will learn the basics of printing a cyanotype photograph using a digital negative. Students will also learn how to tone their print with various materials from the kitchen such as tea, coffee, or vinegar. The goal is to produce a finished print measuring 5" x 7" ready to display. Negatives will be provided, but you can email up to 3 high contrast digital photos to contact@tesstubbs.studio one week before the class. If no images are emailed by specified date students will print from images provided by the instructor. All materials included.

Students will start with a black and white image then using watercolor paint the image will come to new life! Student may hand color their own image or Tess is available upon request to color the image for you. Images need brought to the studio or emailed to contact@tesstubbs.studio a week before agreed upon class date.
